your hardware. our control plane.
Bring any Linux VPS — Hetzner, AWS, Vultr, your own metal. paste one install command, the agent registers itself over a secure outbound tunnel, and the Yovale dashboard takes over from there.
free trial. no credit card required.
what runs on your VPS after the install command.
Running WordPress on your own VPS starts cheap and ends in 2am ssh sessions — patching, backing up, restoring, restarting, watching logs scroll past in a tmux pane.
Any Linux server with Docker support — Hetzner, AWS, DigitalOcean, Vultr, or your own metal. minimum 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM for a comfortable start.
One bash line, copied from the dashboard onboarding wizard. The agent installs, opens a secure tunnel, signs in with HMAC, and reports its capabilities. takes about 90 seconds.
Sites use the same dashboard flow as managed Yovale. plan caps follow your hardware, backups are scheduled to R2, monitoring starts immediately.
tested on the providers your team already uses.
If it runs Ubuntu, Debian, or RHEL with Docker — it works. one install command, no provider-specific setup.
paste once. connected in 87 seconds.
The agent installs, opens a secure outbound link, signs in with a per-server HMAC key, and reports its capabilities back. nothing else to configure.
no public IP. no exposed ports. outbound only.
Every connection between your VPS and Yovale flows through an outbound-only secure tunnel. you never open a firewall hole. Yovale never holds root.
pay once. run servers forever.
BYO is sold separately from managed plans — one-time purchase, no monthly fee, no annual renewal. you keep paying your VPS provider for hardware (which you'd do anyway). that's the whole bill.

A serious DIY WordPress stack is weeks of yak-shaving — Docker, nginx, SSL, backups, monitoring, recovery. Yovale BYO ships all of that bundled, on hardware you control.

common questions before you connect a server.
Which VPS providers work with BYO?
Any Linux VPS with Docker support and outbound internet access. Hetzner, AWS, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, and bare-metal boxes all work the same way.
Does Yovale see my server's filesystem?
Only through the agent over the tunnel, scoped to the API surface the agent exposes. there is no shell access, no root key on Yovale's side, and a per-server audit log records every action.
Can I move sites between BYO and managed Yovale?
Yes. Backups are stored in R2 and can be restored to either side. the site lifecycle is the same on both products.
What happens if my VPS goes offline?
Backup metadata stays cached in the dashboard, so you can browse and download backups even when the server is unreachable. when the server comes back online, the dashboard reconnects automatically.
Do I need to expose ports on my server?
No. The connection is outbound-only via a secure tunnel. nothing on your VPS faces the public internet.
How does BYO pricing work?
BYO has its own one-time pricing — separate from managed plans. $149 lifetime gets you 10 connected servers. $499 lifetime gets you 100 connected servers, plus $2 lifetime per additional server beyond that. no recurring platform fees.
Is there an API for managing sites and servers?
A public REST API is on the roadmap and ships with both BYO plans at no extra cost. it'll cover site CRUD, backups, monitoring queries, and capability inspection — same surface the dashboard uses internally.
