Snapchat Pixel · marketing consent

Snap Pixel layers inside every wordpress site.

Snap Pixel IDs are full UUIDs (`xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx`) — different shape from every other major pixel. Most WordPress pixel plugins assume short numeric or alphanumeric IDs and either reject the UUID or strip the dashes.

the problem

Snap Pixel UUID format breaks lazy WordPress install paths.

Yovale's validator accepts the UUID format directly. Paste from Snap Ads Manager, save, ship — no shape conversion required.

validation

UUID, the right shape.

Snap is the only major ad pixel that uses full UUIDs. most WordPress plugins fumble this.

Yovale's regex matches UUID natively — no shape conversion, no stripped dashes.

compliance

marketing consent enforced.

the Snap Pixel is gated behind marketing_storage — Snap's signal is for ad targeting.

EU traffic gets the right consent gate by default.

setup in the dashboard

paste your pixel UUID. start attributing snaps.

Yovale validates the UUID format at save. the snippet renders in `<head>` gated against marketing consent.

Pixel UUID
00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000pixel_id

Snap issues this when you create a pixel in Events Manager. format: standard UUID with dashes.

where to find your pixel_id
1
Open Tracking → Ad Pixels

Find Snapchat Pixel in the dashboard's tracking panel.

2
Paste your pixel UUID

Copy from Snap Ads Manager → Events Manager → Pixel. format: standard UUID `xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx`.

3
Toggle on, save

Open your site. Snap Pixel Helper extension confirms PageView fires. Audience builds over the first 100 unique visitors.

Snap audiences are smaller than Meta or TikTok but extremely engaged in the 13–24 demo — ship the pixel early to populate before campaigns launch.

faq

questions before you switch hosts for Snapchat Pixel.

Why is the Snap Pixel ID a UUID?

Snap's pixel system uses UUIDs (Universally Unique Identifiers) instead of short numeric IDs. The format is `8-4-4-4-12` hex digits with dashes. Every Snap pixel has one.

Will Snap Pixel fire correctly with EU consent?

Yovale gates the Pixel behind marketing_storage. If the visitor declined marketing cookies, the Pixel doesn't render. Compliant under EU ePrivacy + GDPR.

Does this support Snap's Conversions API?

The browser-side Pixel ships from Yovale. Server-side Conversions API runs from your application code, outside the WordPress page render.

Can I use Snap Pixel with GTM?

Yes. Manage through GTM container, or direct through Yovale. Both work.

Will the page cache break the Snap Pixel?

No. The snippet is part of the cached HTML. Marketing consent state lives on a `<html>` class so the cache key stays page-level.
