how it works

three steps from click to active hosting.

no third-party redirect, no card form, no payment processor in the middle. the dashboard talks to a public price feed, your wallet talks to the chain.

if verification fails, the subscription is paused and you keep the right to a corrected resubmit at no extra cost.

the problem

card-only billing fails the operators who need WordPress hosting most.

most managed WordPress hosts only accept Stripe-flavoured card payments and a PayPal fallback. that quietly cuts off WooCommerce founders in countries where international card acceptance is broken, freelancers paid in crypto, and agency operators who do not want a third-party gateway storing their billing identity.

we kept hitting the same problem ourselves. customers wanted to pay, the card kept getting declined by their bank for cross-border SaaS, the gateway flagged it for KYC, the project stalled. the fix was not another gateway. the fix was letting the operator pay from the wallet they already use, on a chain they already trust, and skipping the card rail entirely.

the problem

card checkout vs Yovale crypto checkout.

Card / Gateway Checkout
Yovale Crypto Checkout
Identity required at checkout
×name, address, card data, often phone
wallet address only, no personal data
Cross-border failures
×bank or issuer often blocks recurring SaaS
chain-native, ignores card rails entirely
Refunds and chargebacks
×card-driven, can take 7-30 days
manual admin refund on rejected verification
Recurring billing
×auto-charges may fail silently
you renew when you choose to send the next quote
KYC for the customer
×depends on the gateway, sometimes triggered
none
Settlement currency
×USD, EUR, INR depending on gateway region
USD-locked price, paid in your asset of choice
What we store about you
×billing identity captured by the gateway
wallet TXID and the plan you bought
Net result for the operator
more friction, more KYC, more declines
fewer dependencies, faster path to active hosting
fraud, refunds, security

we activate fast and verify carefully. here is how.

manual verification keeps the rail safe without making customers wait for days before their site is live.

  • TXID uniqueness

a partial unique index in the database stops two intents from claiming the same on-chain transaction. fake or recycled TXIDs are rejected at submission time.

  • explorer-based verification

an admin opens the chain explorer for the TXID, confirms the destination address, the exact amount, and the sender. only matching transactions are marked verified.

  • fast activation, reversible state

the subscription becomes active immediately on TXID submit so your site stays online. if verification fails, the plan is paused and you are notified by email.

  • rotatable deposit addresses

treasury addresses can be rotated by an admin without breaking historical intents. older intents always resolve to the address they were created with.

  • USD-locked at quote

the quote freezes the USD-to-asset rate for 30 minutes from a public CoinGecko price. price drift after quote does not change what you owe.

  • 95% slippage tolerance

small under-payments inside the 95% threshold pass verification, so float-precision rounding in your wallet does not cause a false rejection.

faq

questions before you switch off the card rail.

Which crypto assets can I pay with?

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), BNB on Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20), USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), and USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20). The deposit address shown at checkout is asset and chain specific.

Do I have to do KYC to pay in crypto?

No. Yovale does not collect personal identity documents at any step of the crypto checkout flow. The only thing we store is the on-chain transaction ID and the plan you purchased.

How long until my hosting is active after I send crypto?

Hosting becomes active immediately after you submit the TXID in the dashboard, in a pending-verification state. An admin confirms the on-chain receipt within 24 hours and marks the subscription as verified.

What happens if I send the wrong amount?

Yovale uses a 95% slippage tolerance, so small under-payments still verify cleanly. If the amount is meaningfully short or the wrong asset was sent, the team contacts you and lets you resubmit a corrected transaction.

What if I send the right asset on the wrong network?

Cross-chain mistakes (for example USDT sent on TRC-20 instead of ERC-20) cannot be recovered by us. Always send the listed asset on the listed network. The checkout screen shows both clearly.

Is the crypto price fixed at the time of payment?

Yes. When you create a checkout, Yovale locks a USD-to-asset rate from a public CoinGecko quote for 30 minutes. As long as you send the displayed amount within that window, the quote is honored regardless of price movement.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Refunds during active subscriptions follow the same policy as any other payment method. For rejected on-chain transactions (mismatched address, fraudulent TXID), the subscription is paused and the team works directly with the customer to resolve.

Does crypto payment auto-renew like a card subscription?

No. Crypto subscriptions do not auto-charge a wallet. When the renewal window opens you receive an email and can submit a new on-chain payment for the next billing cycle.

Is there an extra fee for paying with crypto?

No. The price you pay in USD-equivalent is the published plan price. You only pay the network gas fee on your chain of choice, which we do not collect.

Does crypto checkout work for plan upgrades and downgrades?

Yes. The same flow is available for new subscriptions and for upgrading or extending an existing plan. The checkout shows the prorated amount in USD before quoting the crypto value.
